Medical and Emergency Contact Information must be completed to register your camper. If your camper has any medical conditions or brings any medications to camp, you must see First Aid staff at check in. All medications must be brought in their original container, turned over to and dispensed by the camp’s First Aid staff. Exceptions will be made for certain inhalers and epinephrine pens, but they must still be registered with the staff at check in on the first day of the camp session.

Allergies

Please make our First Aid staff aware of any allergies–especially including any treatment regimens and medications. Camp Pitt’s kitchen can accommodate many specific food allergies or dietary needs when given advance notice. We ask that you contact the office one week prior to arriving at camp if this applies to your child or if you have questions concerning the projected menu. Parents are encouraged to discuss the specific needs of your child with volunteer group leaders and camp staff at check in.

First Aid Staff

Camp Pitt’s First Aid staff is on duty 24 hours a day while camp is in session. If you wish to speak with the person on duty you may call (434) 927-5636. Please be sure we have current contact information for you in the event you must be contacted about your camper’s health.

Insurance

Households that do not have health insurance should mark their form “not insured” where applicable. Please be sure all information about your health insurance is current, including group#, policy# and effective dates. Camp Pitt maintains a secondary camper medical policy for accidents that occur during camp sessions. Contact the camp office for details.
